How to Remove an Artist from Your YouTube Music Library
Have you ever added an artist to your YouTube Music library, only to later realize you don't actually want their music in there? Don't worry, it's easy to remove artists from your YouTube Music library! Here's how:
Removing Artists on the Website:
- Log in to your YouTube Music account: Go to music.youtube.com and sign in with your Google account.
- Go to your library: Click on the "Library" tab in the left-hand sidebar.
- Navigate to your "Artists" section: Within the Library, click on the "Artists" section.
- Find the artist you want to remove: Scroll through the list of artists or use the search bar to find the specific artist you wish to remove.
- Click on the artist's name: This will open the artist's page.
- Click on the three dots icon: You'll find this icon next to the artist's name in the top right corner.
- Select "Remove from Library": This option will remove the artist and their music from your library.
Removing Artists on the Mobile App:
- Open the YouTube Music app: Launch the app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Go to your library: Tap on the "Library" tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Navigate to your "Artists" section: Within the Library, tap on the "Artists" section.
- Find the artist you want to remove: Scroll through the list of artists or use the search bar to find the specific artist you wish to remove.
- Tap on the artist's name: This will open the artist's page.
- Tap on the three dots icon: You'll find this icon next to the artist's name in the top right corner.
- Select "Remove from Library": This option will remove the artist and their music from your library.
Important Note: Removing an artist from your library will not delete their music from YouTube Music altogether. Their songs will still be available in the platform's search results.
